Winterizing

Over the weekend we managed to winterize and sink half of the farm. Each year it gets a little easier, but it is still a huge undertaking. The oyster cages need to be re-rigged and their pontoons filled with water before they can be slowly lowered into the briny deep. It's stressful and grueling work that can only be done when the tide is slack at dead low.

I'm very eager to get the rest of the farm put-away, but the next daytime low tides come next week. Let's all hope the weather gets nice!
